Filter Bags by Micron Rating

Match Particle Size with the Right Filtration Grade

The micron rating indicates the approximate particle size the filter bag is designed to capture. Fine micron ratings are used for polishing and precision filtration, while larger ratings provide higher flow and coarse particle removal.

Filter Bag FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the right filter bag material?

Start with liquid chemistry and operating temperature. PP is common for economical chemical and water filtration, PE offers higher temperature and abrasion resistance, nylon mesh works well for reusable straining, and PTFE is suited to aggressive environments.

What micron rating should I choose?

Select a rating close to the smallest particle size you need to remove. For general industrial filtration, 25, 50 and 100 micron are common. Finer applications may require 1–10 micron bags, while coarse pre-filtration can use 200–1500 micron mesh.

What are the most common industrial filter bag sizes?

Size #01 (7 × 16 inches) and Size #02 (7 × 32 inches) are widely used in standard single-bag and multi-bag housings. Size #03 and #04 are compact options for smaller equipment.

Can Ince produce custom filter bags?

Yes. Custom dimensions, micron ratings, media combinations, plastic or metal rings, handles, seams, labels and private-label packaging can be produced for OEM and wholesale customers.
